A prestigious international law firm is looking to hire a new Billing Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis to be responsible for the timely billing and collection activities of assigned clients and matters.  The successful candidate will work closely with Lawyers of the firm to ensure the firm’s international policies and procedures are met.  Responsibilities will include ensuring timely billing and effective management of matters, submitting work in progress reports to Lawyers when required, producing billing guides, draft and final bills, credit notes and write offs, preparing client invoices in accordance with instructions from Lawyers compliant with the Firm’s policies, monitoring and correction of third party disbursements, transferring of time and making amendments to narratives, running various analytical reports, new matter set ups, email queries etc., ensuring correct fee rate structures are in place and reviewing client counsel guidelines and ensuring that invoicing meets all statutory and legislative requirements.  Candidates need to have a minimum of 2 years legal billing experience, good knowledge of VAT compliance an strong organisational, communication skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.  A salary of up to £39,000 is on offer.
