Client Onboarding Assistant

Our elite US law firm client is seeking a Client Onboarding Assistant who is committed to staying informed about industry AML regulations and firm policies that impact client onboarding – the successful candidate will work closely with Partners and their PAs, requiring a high level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.

  • 09:00-17:00 (Monday-Friday)

Key Responsibilities of the Client Onboarding Assistant:

  • Carry out client due diligence (CDD) checks for new clients in line with AML and firm requirements.
  • Request and review KYC (Know Your Client) documents from clients as part of the onboarding process.
  • Complete onboarding forms accurately and comprehensively.
  • Submit new matter requests to the intake team once CDD checks are completed.
  • Follow up with the Partners and Legal PAs to ensure onboarding is completed smoothly and on time.
  • Liaise with fee earners and support staff to resolve any queries or issues during the onboarding process.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to request additional information or documentation as needed.

Skills & Requirements of the Client Onboarding Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, risk, or administrative role within a law firm is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with client onboarding systems and case management platforms.
  • Familiarity with sanctions screening tools and databases (World-Check, Dow Jones, or similar).
  • Ability to navigate online research platforms for due diligence purposes.
