Growing UK law firm is hiring a new Compliance Officer to join the wider Risk & Compliance team:

 

Excellent City Location

Hybrid – 3 days in the office

Salary up to £45,000

This Compliance Officer opportunity will allow you to work within a fantastic team of 5 within the wider Risk & Compliance team assisting within the management of the client onboarding process to ensure the firm complies with the relevant regulations.

 

Responsibilities for the Compliance Officer:

 

  • Assisting and ensuring that due diligence is conducted on all clients of the firm.
  • Reviewing client matter files to ensure that proper client opening, maintenance and CDD procedures have been followed.
  • Answering AML queries from fee earners and other staff, escalating as necessary.
  • Processing conflict search requests and analysing results.
  • Managing a shared inbox of incoming requests for new client and new matter openings.
  • Researching new clients for CDD purposes and obtaining relevant documentation from clients or assisting fee earner to obtain documentation and information to onboard clients.
  • Liaising with fee earners to ensure that any outstanding information has been requested for clients/3rd parties.
  • Supporting the Risk and Compliance Manager with other risk and compliance projects throughout the firm.

 

Compliance Officer requirements:

 

  • Previous Compliance experience within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm
  • Excellent technical and organisational skills
  • Previous experience with client onboarding
  • Strong IT skills
