HR Coordinator

A global HR team within an international law firm is recruiting a HR Coordinator who is passionate about people and driven to excel in the legal industry.

  • Salary to £40,000
  • 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday)
  • Hybrid working (2 days in the office / 3 days WFH)

We’re looking for candidates who can confidently take ownership of core HR processes and support the full range of employee lifecycle, including annual initiatives and employee-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities of the HR Coordinator:

  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR enquiries via the London HR Helpdesk, email, phone or in person.
  • Facilitating the probation process for all UK employees and being the first point of contact for probation / appraisal queries.
  • Conducting exploratory meetings with line-managers, providing initial best practice advice on next steps where issues have been identified with regards to probation and absence.
  • Supporting the workplace adjustments process for employees who have a disability, impairment, or long-term health condition.
  • Facilitating all family leave processes, including employee correspondence, DSE assessments, maternity coaching, maternity buddy system, and monitoring leave / return dates.
  • Attending employee relations meetings in the capacity of a note-taker.
  • Coordinating the leaver process, including managing correspondence, liaising with stakeholders, etc.
  • Accurately producing all employee correspondence and letters relating to employee lifecycle.

Skills & Requirements of the HR Coordinator:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a HR generalist role as an Assistant, Administrator, or Coordinator level within a law firm.
  • Experience of facilitating HR processes relative to the full range of employee lifecycle activities.
  • Confident in presenting to and conducting one-to-one meetings with employees.
  • Experience supporting employee relations matters would be highly advantageous.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified is preferred.
