Partnership Accountant

Our global law firm client is seeking a Partnership Accountant to join their Finance team in London on a full-time, permanent basis.

  • Salary up to £80,000
  • 09:30-17:30 (Monday-Friday) and hybrid working – 3 days in the office / 2 days WFH

The department deals with financial and tax matters relating to the partners’ financial involvement in the firm and the Partnership Accountant will be responsible ensuring that all journal postings both domestic and overseas are recorded in 3E in a timely and accurate manner and all accounts are fully reconciled. The firm is keen to hire a qualified accountant with a background in partnership accounting.

Key Responsibilities of the Partnership Accountant:

  • To be responsible for the accounting of all partner compensation payments and reconciliation of partner accounts in 3E
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and standardise accounting policies pertaining to the Partner Matters team
  • To have responsibility for the partner capital calculations and ensure the database and records in 3E on a partner-by-partner basis are accurate
  • Contribute to the annual partner compensation and bonus processes
  • Develop a strong understanding of how foreign exchange impacts accounting in 3E and how journals can be posted in 3E to minimise the adverse impacts of foreign exchange
  • Work with the external auditors and provide information as requested as part of the annual audit of the financial statements

Skills & Requirements of the Partnership Accountant:

  • Qualified Accountant – ICAEW, ICAS or ACCA preferred
  • Experience of 3E or similar accounting software and confident Excel knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills handling sensitive high volume of data
  • A confident communicator able to explain technical issues clearly, both orally and in writing, to stakeholder and business advisers
