Risk and Compliance Administrator

Top UK law firm, committed to client care and innovation in legal practice, is recruiting a Risk and Compliance Administrator to join its extremely friendly and collaborative culture.

  • Salary to £35,000
  • 09:30-17:30 working hours
  • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to work effectively within a team and a willingness to support colleagues when needed. The role focuses on ensuring the firm’s compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to new client and matter intake procedures.

Risk and Compliance Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial compliance screening checks and escalate any potential/actual matches e.g. conflict, payor, sanction checks
  • Carry out compliance registers and client and matter maintenance checks, to include high-risk monitoring checks
  • Manage inbox queries e.g. answering queries about compliance team processes
  • Review engagement letter reports and record letters as sent in the system
  • Assist the team with administrative duties e.g. arrange meetings for firm training sessions, database checks and other delegated tasks or ad hoc projects from the team

Risk and Compliance Administrator Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous administrative experience working in a professional services environment is desirable
  • The ability to balance responsibility for routine day-to-day tasks with ongoing assignments
  • Able to use initiative to make sensible judgments when deciding whether to escalate issues
