Our client is one of the biggest law firms in the world – they are now looking to recruit an experienced Senior Business Development Executive to join their busy and expanding BD team in London.

The Senior Business Development Executive will provide support on marketing and business development activity across the People, Reward & Mobility, Tax and Competition teams. The role will be focused on delivering strategic objectives in relation to practice initiatives; including proposals, events, sponsorship management, client relationship management and client targeting.
The standard hours are 9.30am to 5.30pm. The salary on offer is up to £65,000 + Benefits. This role is a permanent position. This role will be based in Scotland or completely remote based.

Your responsibilities as a Senior Business Development Executive will include:
• Supporting the project management of transactional and strategic proposals, providing input on approach, team formations; draft, create, review and edit content; ensure adherence to branding requirements; ensure adherence to pricing procedures.
• Support the monitoring of panel appointments.
• Develop high quality materials for use in proposals to convey UK positioning, experience and sales messages
• Act as practice ambassador for proposal best practice to ensure understanding and compliance of the proposal process
• Responsible for logging proposals in all relevant places and updating outcome results
• Working with their Business Development teams you will work on the planning and implementation of high-impact client events, both in person and virtual
• Qualifying proposals for new events in line with their strategic objectives and their wider event programme
• Organising all logistics and running the event, either virtually or in-person
• Assisting with the development, targeting and management of campaigns to promote their capabilities
• Drafting and designing marketing content (e.g., both client and internal communications, email and web content)
• Engaging with the Digital team for online campaign roll out
• Working with Partners and their Business Development teams to assist with the management and development of client relationships

Requirements as a Senior Business Development Executive include:
• Previous Business Development experience gained from professional services environment
• Ideally you will have experience gained from an established law firm – however not essential
• Graduate calibre with demonstrable and/or professionally recognised marketing or communications qualification (such as CIM, etc.)
• Understands the need and has the ability to manage expectations
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Highly proficient on all MS Office packages
