Learning & Development Manager (12 Months FTC)

Join a top City law firm in London as a Learning & Development Manager on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, driving the strategy, design and delivery of impactful leadership and development programme for Business Services leaders and professionals and mid-level Lawyers/Associates across UK/US and EMEA.

Key Responsibilities of the Learning & Development Manager:

  • Support individual and team development, including line management of the L&D Adviser and Coordinator
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify current and future capability needs, shape programme priorities, and agree participant nominations
  • Manage programme budgets effectively, balancing cost efficiency with growth in scale and ambition
  • Lead on the design and implementation of organisational development projects and change management initiatives
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand organisational needs and monitor market trends
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure successful implementation of change management initiatives
  • Monitor, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of organisational development interventions
  • Act as an internal coach within the firm’s internal coaching faculty

Skills & Requirements of the Learning & Development Manager:

  • 5+ years’ L&D experience, ideally within a law firm
  • Coaching qualification (Level 5+ preferred) or equivalent accreditation
  • End-to-end L&D programme management experience
  • Experience using digital and AI-enabled learning solutions
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching and people management skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into development recommendations
