Future Talent Manager (12 Month FTC) – UK Law Firm – Generous Salary & Hybrid Working

A prestigious International law firm, is looking to hire a Future Talent Manager to join the wider Talent team on an initial 12 Month basis, to assist with the attraction and recruitment of future talent for the London office.

 

Salary up to £95,000

Line management for three team members

Hybrid working, 3 days in the office, 2 remotely.

 

Key Responsibilities for the Future Talent Manager include:

  • Being responsible for the recruitment and development of the firm’s future talent/early careers (trainee solicitors, apprentices, work placement students/interns, scholars), including international trainee recruitment and secondments.
  • Managing the future talent recruitment cycle (from screening applications and interviewing to overseeing and participating in the assessment centres, placement schemes and open days.
  • Managing all marketing (website, social media and the presence at universities and events on campus).
  • Being a subject matter expert on the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) and the firm’s approach to this.
  • Ensuring that the recruitment process is inclusive by finding ways to attract diverse talent and/or removing barriers for underrepresented groups.
  • Overseeing the onboarding, induction and integration of the trainee solicitors and apprentices into the business and their development throughout their period of training, including seat allocation, qualification, resolving employee relations issues, delivery of some 1:1 coaching, and organising events.
  • Building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with future talents partners, key stake holders in the business, and the HR and L&D team across the network.
  • Managing the future talent team and providing support, coaching and training ensuring consistent high-quality standards are maintained and to share best practice.

Key Requirements for the Future Talent Manager will include:

  • Previous Law firm experience working at Supervisory / Management level
  • Strong knowledge of the SQE process.
  • Is an experienced HR professional with prior work experience at a senior manager or manager level within a professional services environment. They will have dealt with the future talent life cycle with a commercial and pragmatic approach and have extensive experience in implementing modern and simple approaches.
  • They will have experience of supporting teams through change, understand the complexities that employee relations work brings and be able to bring teams together.
