HR & Payroll Advisor – Leading US Law Firm – Excellent Salary + Generous Benefits

Leading US law firm housed within stunning offices in central London is looking to hire a new HR & Payroll Advisor for the London office on a permanent basis.  This HR & Payroll Advisor role will work closely with the Senior HR Manager to provide a full HR service to the London Office in addition to working with the Business Director in providing a full and comprehensive service to support the effective execution of Payroll and related Benefits for the London office. Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm plus a salary of up to £50,000 is on offer plus excellent benefits.

 

HR Responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a business partner to the London office providing HR generalist support
  • With the support of the Senior HR Manager manage employee relations issues within office when they arise
  • Provide operational HR support to the Senior HR Manager
  • Manage the annual business services appraisal process
  • Conduct new joiner and exit interviews across the office
  • Manage the maternity & paternity process for the London office
  • Supporting the absence management process, reporting to the Senior HR Manager on a monthly basis and agreeing action plans
  • Manage the lateral recruitment process for support teams including secretarial and paralegal teams
  • Involvement in HR projects as required, support with the ongoing implementation of workday

 

Payroll and Benefits responsibilities will include:

  • Collate the monthly cycle Payroll changes and updates
  • Work with our payroll provider to ensure monthly payroll deadlines are met
  • Upload and calculate the monthly Pension cycle
  • Reconcile the monthly PMI statement and accounts, assisting in the annual P11D reporting, assisting in collating data for internal and external audits
  • Key point of contact for London employees on all payroll and benefit questions
  • Assisting with the end of contract reviews for all benefits
  • Review payroll and benefit processes with a view to providing suggestions for continuous improvements

 

The successful HR & Payroll Advisor must have previous HR Generalist and Employee Relations experience within a law firm, in addition to knowledge of the monthly payroll cycle.  Candidates must have excellent communication, written and organisational skills and have preferably completed the CIPD. A salary of up to £50,000 is on offer plus fantastic benefits.
