Human Resources Advisor

Global law firm is looking to hire a new Human Resources Advisor to join the growing team on a permanent basis acting as a Business Partner for the London office.

Salary up to £65,000
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 remotely

Responsibilities for the Human Resources Advisor will include:

• Acting as a key business partner to the London office, providing HR generalist support to all Business Services departments;
• With the support of the HR Manager and HR Directors manage employee relations issues within the assigned departments when they arise, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management;
• Provide operational HR support to the HR Directors and Managers for all other departments of the London Office;
• Manage the annual salary and bonus review process for the Business and Secretarial Services departments in the London office, with support from the wider generalist HR team;
• Manage the annual Business Services and Secretarial Services appraisal process, with support from the wider generalist HR team;
• Help co-ordinate the London Office client secondment processes in conjunction with the HR Managers;
• Conduct new joiner interviews, with follow up as required;
• Management of all family leave processes for Business Services and Secretarial departments;
• Assisting the Recruitment Manager, and Hiring Managers with recruitment for Business and Secretarial Services hires, where appropriate and joining interviews when necessary;
• Manage the annual PC/PII renewal process for all E&W qualified lawyers globally;
• Keep all London foreign qualified Associates’ records up to date;
• Support with conducting the weekly induction for new joiners;
• Involvement in any initiatives (technology related or otherwise) which are to be implemented within the HR function;

Key Experience and Requirements for the Human Resources Advisor:

• Good working knowledge of HR practices ideally within a legal or professional services environment at Advisor level
• Highly collaborative and a team player
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Good attention to detail and highly organised
• Ability to manage multiple projects/ER issues at any one time, prioritising effectively; and
• Proactive approach to problem solving
