Leading international law firm is hiring a Sustainability Assistant to join their London office. Offering a generous salary + fantastic benefits, this is a great opportunity to assist a top law firm reach their net zero target.

 

Salary to £36,000

Hybrid working (2 days remote)

9.30am to 5.30pm

 

The Sustainability assistant will play a key role in supporting the environmental and energy management systems including compliance checks, document management and data collection.

 

Sustainability Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the QHSE Manager and workplace team in the delivery of the firm’s ISO energy & environment management systems, ISO standards, new and existing, and all UKI properties.
  • Supporting wider sustainability projects with the Head of Sustainability.
  • Working closely with the Assistant Sustainability, Carbon, and Data manager on wider environmental and carbon data.
  • Responsible sustainability projects e.g., e-Bikes, engagement, roadshows, training etc.
  • Audit of ISO systems. Maintenance and daily responsibilities of the ISO14001 (Environment) and ISO50001 (Energy) management systems.
  • Supporting the annual review and objectives of the management systems. • Improve existing data processes and audit trails.
  • Review Battery management system (BMS) settings and temperature complaints to improve energy performance.
  • Coordinate the monitoring, management, and reduction of environmental impact of the Firm.
  • Collect and Maintain records across all sites i.e. Waste transfer notes, FGas, Legionella, Fire safety, Utilities, Training, Tenant and Landlord energy, Headcount, Waste, Travel, COSHH.

Sustainability Assistant Key Skills:

  • Previous experience in a sustainability-related role and/or Interest in sustainability, climate action, transportation, and waste reduction.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks, data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of what an ISO14001 and ISO50001 management system is.
  • Knowledge of environmental and social impact assessment methodologies.
